I made my CAS layout based off of one of the sample photos on the inspiration board.  My daughter and her bestie on the tram at the Kansas City Zoo.  I used papers from Green Goddess Creations Scrumptious and Kreative Kraft as well as Pears by LilyPink Designs for my project.  I hope it inspires you to play along with us!  You could be the next big winner!  $10 for digi merch at the CYDI? Store goes a long way!  :O)  MWAH!!!

Welcome to Day One of the Three Day Pixie Dust "Oh, Snap!" Blog Hop!

If you arrived here from Kathy's blog, then you're in the right place! If not start at the beginning at the Pixie Dust Studio Blog. Participating Pixies will present a new project on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Each day Pixie will select a "Mystery Blog". One comment will be randomly chosen from that blog, and the lucky hopper will win one digital image. In addition, there will be a Grand Prize each day of the Hop! I used the image called Oh Snap...appropriately named, I must say!  The poor little fella has lost his arm.  At my house that means it's not fit to give away to anyone, so we have to eat it ourselves.  :O)  This will be the front page for my 2012 album of festivities.  I used papers from myself called Krafty Kristmas and I colored little gingie in Photoshop CS5.

Now it's time to visit Christine's lovely blog and see what she's made for you.  Thanks so much for stopping by today...don't forget to come back tomorrow!  MWAH!!!

Remember...

Hello again, my crafty friends.  Today we have a very special challenge over at the Can You Digi It? blog.  Challenge #18 is to Find Your Inner Phoenix.   As mythology states, a phoenix is able to be reborn from its ashes...what does the phoenix bring out in you?  Being that today is 9/11 I wanted to make sure I will always remember that infamous day in history.  Like I could forget...it's like it just happened.  I will always be proud to be an American and will certainly always remember how strong we stood as one in the face of devstating tragedy.

I used papers from the 4th at Grandma's collection and some B&W Washi Tape from the CYDI? store.  Won't you join us in this challenge?

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  MWAH!!!

Let's Shop Till We Drop

Good afternoon all!  I know I've been a bad girl about posting regularly.  With the summer, kids getting back to school, activities and the like I have really been a slacker!  Well, I'm back and hopefully staying on top of things.

Today I'm showing you a card I made using a new image from a new artist at Can You Digi It?...isn't she cute.  She's my kind of girl too!  Look at all those shopping bags!  I colored with Copics and used some scrummy papers from BoBunny.

Do come on back tomorrow for a special post.  MWAH!!!

Feel Better Soon

Good morning all!  Today is the 1st day of Middle School - 7th grade - for my youngest.  She was terribly excited and I guess I was too.  I was up at 3AM after tossing and turning all night.  She followed shortly behind and got up at about 4:45AM.  I took her to breakfast since we had so much time and I will share pictures later!

The reason for my post today is a new challenge over at the Can You Digi It? blog.  The next 2 weeks is all about PURPLE PLEASE!  Check out the amazing inspiration board and be inspired...join us for your chance to win a $10 gift certificate to the CYDI? Store!

I used a super cute image from Mike Eustis called XO.  Don't you just love those extra long legs?  I also used a digital paper pack called Passion for Purple along with some Bazzill card stock.  The sentiment is a stamp from CTMH.

Thanks so much for popping in to see what I've been up to.  Come join us...the challenge is running until August 27!  MWAH!!!

Good morning everyone!  I'm here today to share a couple of projects with you from a new artist at Can You Digi It?...Hannah Clark of Delightfully Distressing Designs!

I made the first page...an art journal page using her Shabby Melody items.  I absolutely love the colors and the theme.  I couldn't resist using this kit for one of my favorite {ever} songs from Metallica.

I made a layout using her sweet Butterfly Bliss items...don't you just love these colors?  How awesome and totally gorgeous!  I am so pleased with the way this one came out.

Be sure to check out the Can You Digi It? store to buy some of this awesomeness for yourself...you know you want to!  :O)  Thanks so much for popping in today!  MWAH!!!

Videezy

Good afternoon all!  I just wanted to pop in and tell you about a new site I saw...if you are into shooting vids, editing vids or making little movies and such, this site is definitely for you!  Introducing...VIDEEZY!  I use a sister site called Brusheezy and it is FABULOUS!

ABOUT VIDEEZY:
Videezy is a community that provides a place for professional and amateur videographers to download and share free HD stock video footage and free b-roll footage with each other. All the video clips you will find here are HD quality and completely free to use in your projects. Shared under a Creative Commons license or part of the public domain. To get started, may I suggest you create an account  or you can learn more by checking out the site HERE!

I went over to Videezy to check it out to satisfy my artistic (or nosy...whichever) side.  I found some very cool videos hiding over there.  One that caught my eye was called Goldfish in a Wine Glass.  It's one of the featured videos, so it's not too hard to fins, but it is shot very well.  It reminds me of one of the Baby Einstein videos.  Another one that I had to watch was called Crane Roost.  The beginning of this video was very interesting to watch.  The crane's head didn't look like it was moving...funny, but interesting creature!  My fave of the videos I watched?  Free Stadium and Clouds Time Lapse.  WOW!  What a cool effect!  They must have had the camera set up to record most of the day.  If I knew a thing about making and/or editing vids, this would be one I would use!  I can totally see it as an intro to my Kansas City Chiefs starting line-up or something!

Thanks so much for stopping in!  MWAH!!!

At The Beach...

Good morning, my crafty bleeps!  I hope all is well with you this lovely Tuesday morning.  I'm praying for a day that's cool here in Kansas...that would mean lower 90's!

I'm here with another fun challenge for the Can You Digi It? blog.  Michelle has chose AT THE BEACH for us and put together this fun inspiration board.  Join us for your chance to win a $10 gift certificate to the CYDI? Store (CYDI? image is not required, but we would LOVE to see you use them)!

I made a digital layout with Michelle's latest and greatest kit called Minty Sunshine.  I adore the way this page came out!  I also used LilyPink Designs' Text Cloud & Songbird image in the upper left corner.  I did "erase" the words in Photoshop to better match my page.

I hope my layout has inspired you because I can't wait to see what you'll come up with for our challenge!  Thank you so very much for stopping in today!  MWAH!!!

New Artist at CYDI?!

Today, we welcome Mike Eustis to the Can You Digi It? artist family!  Just WAIT until you see what he has in the store for you, but first a little about the artist:

Mike is a children's illustrator based in Seattle, WA, where the sun is ALWAYS shining on him.  He has been doing this for 12 years now.  When he's not drawing fabulous images, he likes to feed the birds, cook, and read historical fiction novels.

Maybe that's where the variety in his images comes from?  Today, we are debuting 8 of Mike's fabulous images.  Check them out before you head for the shop!

Bird Watching:

Happy Toilet Training:

Kitchen Help:

Les Paleontologists:

Little Scuba:

Off We Go:

Saturday AM Wizardry:

Something's Fishy:

The Design Team got to play with the image, Off We Go, early, and I sure had a ball with it!  What a fun image!  I had something made up in record time.  I also used Embellie Gellie, Crystal Wheel, Smooch in Kiwi & Best Glue Ever for my card.

Happy Independence Day!

Happy Independence Day!

I'm popping in today to share a layout I made using a new Pixie Dust Studio image called Uncle Sam.  We went to Warsaw over the weekend and watched the fireworks from the boat.  They shoot them off of the Truman Dam every year and, let me tell you, they never disappoint!  The display is always amazing and I got a most excellent shot this year!  WOOT!  I have used some digital papers that I made called The 4th at Grandma's and cropped Uncle Sam to use only his head.  I used a sketch I found over at Sketch~N~Scrap.  I flipped it so I could use my new fave pic of the fireworks!

Thanks so much for coming by to visit me today!  I hope you have a wonderful and safe 4th of July!
