PDS "Compass" Blog Hop

Welcome to the Pixie Dust Studio "Compass" blog hop!

Kathy has really outdone herself with this super collection!  If you've come from the sweet island girl, SHIRL'S BLOG, you're right on track...keep hopping along!  If not, please start back at the beginning at the PDS Blog.  Comment on every stop for your chance to win the prize...2 images of your choice!

I have used 2 images for my card and merged them together in Photoshop.  Asian Princess and Cherry Blossom Tree.  How stinking sweet is she, anyway?!  I colored the images using my trusty Copics and added some faint clouds using distress inks and a scalloped nestie diecut.  The paper was meant for these images...I have been hoarding this paper for quite some time.  It's from KaiserCraft...Sorbet.  The sentiment I used is from Stamper's Anonymous.  I added some sparkle with my Sakura Stardust pen in clear.

Be sure to check out the PDS Shop and pick these cuties up for yourself!  It's time for you to hop on to the next stop...the very talented CRICUT CHICK'S BLOG!  Have fun and don't forget to comment to win!

Trash the Dress

Hidee ho, neighbors!  Another post?  In one day?  I'm on a roll I tell ya!  Actually, I just couldn't wait to show off these layouts I made using Angie Young's kit called Come On Get Happy (it's 35% off right now!).  The photos are from the ever talented Joe Devine of Devine Studios...it was my "Trash the Dress" session after the hubs and I got married.

Thanks so much for popping in and leaving some love for me!  I appreciate each and every one of your comments!  MWAH!!!

My image is called Nautical Pixie...isn't she sweet?  This is a hybrid project.  I used digital elements from Follow Your Art's Discover colab (3 parts found HERE, HERE & HERE) along with my PDS image.  I like the way it turned out.

Thanks so much for coming by today!  I sure hope you'll pop over to the PDS Challenge blog and join us!  Don't forget to come on back tomorrow for a Pixie Blog Hop!  MWAH!!!

Over the Hill

***If you've come looking for my Pixie Dust Studio post, please scroll down!***

Good morning!  It's time for June Show and Tell over at Dustin Pike's Blog!  He has released some super cute images, as usual, so you had better scoot on over to Doodle Dragon Studios and pick them up!

Today I used Over the Hill for a layout of my dear hubby on his 40th birthday.  The digital kit is by Angie Young of Follow Your Art and can be found HERE.  I used only the B&W items from the kit along with some red paper that I made and some grunge brushes.  I colored Over the Hill in Photoshop.  :O)

Thanks so much for stopping in today to see what I've been up to!  MWAH!!!

You're the Best!

Good morning, folks!  It's time for my Pixie Dust Studio post of the week...I fell in love with this little fella as soon as I laid on him.  Moon beam the Unicorn...oh, how sweet!

I colored Moonbeam up with my Copics and fussy cut him out.  I Stickled his horn and hearts as well as the edges of the flowers.  I believe the sentiment is from a Fiskars clear set.  The roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I made the leaf branch in my Silhouette software.

Thank you for taking a minute to see my PDS project today!  MWAH!!!

CYDI Challenge #12

Good morning all!  It's time for the bi-weekly challenge over at the Can You Digi It? Blog!  This week's challenge is called "Where's the Color?"  Check out and be inspired by this great collage of images!

I used the image by LilyPink Designs called Pick a Number for my background image...it was perfect for this challenge.  I layered a few of the images together to come up with my background.  I added a small strip of green...now you know where the color is!  I wanted to have a snarky sentiment on there with all those numbers, but I couldn't find a stamp and I was using a scrap piece of paper.  Not big enough to run through the printer...so I opted for a standard HB greeting.  :O)

Join us for your chance to win a $10 gift certificate for digital goodness at the Can You Digi It? store!  MWAH!!!

Follow Your Art!

Hello, my party people! I have been busily slaving away for a new and exciting adventuring. I have been accepted to the Creative Team for Follow Your Art. It is comprised of 3 very talented and unique artists; Cilenia Curtis, Angie Young & Aria. Each one of them has their own line and they also do a colab using the same color palette every month. I have linked their shops above...do give them a peek if you love artsy crafting kits!

Here are several layouts I have made using the amazing Discover Colab...find these bundles HERE for Cilenia, HERE for Angie & HERE for Aria.
This first layout is using the FYA subscriber's freebie.

The next 8 (yes, I said 8) layouts are for an album of our family photo shoot...perfection for the urban photos!

Do check back because I have lots more to share!  I am even considering starting my own art journal with these amazing kits and the inspiring pages I have seen from the CT.  MWAH!!!

Feed the Birds...please?

It's time for a new challenge and a new release!  FEED THE BIRDS is now available for purchase at Pixie Dust Studio!  The challenge is set...it's all about birds, of course!  See how easy we make it? LOL!

For my challenge entry I made a digital layout of my daughter at the pet shop feeding the birds...how appropriate!  I used digital papers that I made called Bird is the Word and colored some of the elements in the paper to match my daughter's photos.  The image is called Feed the Birds.  She is actually sitting on a bench, but I "cut" her out in Photoshop to use on my layout.

Next image I played with is called What Shall I Do.  Is this the cutest kitty, or what?  He's got 3 of his best buds hanging with him.  I colored with Copics and used some clear cut shapes from Deja Views that I've had forever.  They are baby girl themed, but all too perfect for this card!

Be sure to join in the challenge fun...and go shop till you drop!  You know you want to!  Thanks so much for stopping by today!  MWAH!!!

Other challenges I'm entering:
Divas by Design - summer theme
Freshly Brewed - anything goes

Just Keep on Creating - anything goes

Pixie Sneaky Peek

Good afternoon all!  I hope your day is going well!  I'm popping in with a little sneaky peek for Pixie Dust Studio...Kathy's latest cuteness is called "Feed the Birds!"

I am previewing the image called Birds on a Wire.  Isn't it so sweet?  Perfect for a card for no particular reason!  I drew and Stickled the sun after decided there was too much open space up there.  :O)  I used a sentiment from a stamp set by TE.

I sure hope you'll be checking out the release tomorrow...more super cute images are on the way!  MWAH!!!

BUGGIN'!

Good morning everyone!  I'm stopping in today to share a card I made for the current Pike's Playground over at Dustin Pike's blog.  The theme this time is "Don't Bug Me" and there are some great projects by the team!  Hurry over and join in the fun!  While you're there, be sure to check out the specials!

I used Mantis for mine...an oldie, but a goodie!  I hope you like him...I do!  :O)

Here is another of Dustin Pike's older images.  My hubby had a co-worker's birthday to bring a card for...we were going to do something over the hill since it was his 50th birthday, but he said he was a computer programmer and the like...this image immediately came to mind.  I did make him gray to elude to his "old" age!  I hear everyone liked it!

Thank you so very much for stopping by to visit today.  I appreciate it!  MWAH!!!

Pixie Post

Good afternoon everyone!  Today starts a new challenge for the Pixies...what is it you ask?  Use 3 or more patterned papers in your project!  You can do it!  I know you can!

I have a couple of Pixie Dust Studio projects to share with you today.  First up is a cute layout using Oh Happy Day.  This was actually for the challenge last week, but I never got it posted.  *shhhhhhh*

Next up is a card I made for a sweet little girl named Gabrielle. She is very sweet and in a constant battle for health.  She is in a low spot in her health and is not able to attend school at the moment.  Her high point in her day is walking to the mailbox to get the mail (if she feels well enough to make the walk).  I am wanting to spread the word and get her to have fun getting the mail each day.  I would LOVE if you all would send her one of your cards with some happy messages attached.  Spread the word and get the news out that she would love mail from our sweet crafting community!!  She LOVES zebras.  So if you have any zebra cards she would love them!
Her addy is:
Gabrielle Rothwell

Perham, MN 56573

Thanks so much for peeking in today!  MWAH!!!

Button It Up!

Good morning everyone!  At the Can You Digi It? blog the next 2 weeks is all about BUTTONS!  I love buttons, so I knew this was a challenge I wanted to issue to see what awesome creations we get using this board for your inspiration.

I think all those projects on the board are so fun!  I have made a tree of buttons before and they do look very cool.  I decided to use my buttons in the place of the leaf balls on LilyPink Designs Topiary image.

Won't you join us in our latest challenge?  You could be the next winner of a CYDI? $10 gift certificate!

P.S.  Michelle has made up some digi buttons for your project making pleasure, so be sure to grab those up while they're free!

Guess the Movie with SBS & MiC!

Make it Crafty and Simply Betty Stamps are really excited to be bringing you the combined Hollywood Release!

Simply Betty Stamps has a range of characters from Betty Monroe, through to Action Chris the movie director!  Make it Crafty has a range of background scenes perfect to switch and match with your famous characters!

We're so glad you decided to join in on the hopping!  If you've come from visiting my amazing and talented DT sister,  Cyndi you are in the correct spot!  If not, start at the beginning at Suzi's blog to see all the amazing inspiration.
MiC & SBS Guess that Movie

My Guess the Movie project uses Powder Puff London from SBS and Indoor Salon background from MiC.  You might have to think outside the box for my movie, but if you love the actress in it as much as I do, you've definitely seen it...maybe you even remember her saying (to her mother) the quote I added to the inside of the card!  :O)

Last project for me uses Christian the Dark Hero (and Max & Miller from the original Teen Scene line) from SBS and City Corner from MiC.  You know Christian  needed a villain, right?  I tried to make Max & Miller look scary and Joker-like...how did I do?

Last up is a card made by my talented daughter, Ariel.  She used Betty Monroe from SBS and Stars Sidewalk from MiC.  She colored the scene with her Crayola colored pencils.  Notice the pearl earrings?  Too cute, eh?

Of course we are going to have heaps of fun with this theme and June 1st & June 2nd we will be showcasing our stuff and then June 3rd we're bringing you a fun guessing game...will you be able to guess the movie?   We'll be giving you some clues to help!  Join us for the two inspiration days and leave a comment along the way for your chance to win a selection of new images.  There will be FOUR winners each day receiving a surprise character with matching background digi stamps.
Then on June 3rd, guess 6 out of 12 movies correctly and you will have a chance to win:
Grand Prize

A DVD Movie of your choice
PLUS the whole collection of MiC & SBS digi stamp Hollywood release images.
Second Prize
The whole collection of MiC & SBS digi stamp Hollywood release!
Can't wait?!!
But we know some of you just can't wait so both Betty and Zoe are offering you 25% off
their Hollywood collections between June 1st and June 3rd!

It's now time for you to hop on over and visit Franz!  We sure hope to see you guessing all the movies by visiting the last stop on the hop and hope you have lots of fun with us this weekend!  MWAH!!!

If you should find yourself lost, please use the following list to stay on course!  ;O)
GUESS THE MOVIES!
