First up, wish me luck! I have decided to apply for the DT at Kenny K's...check out their challenge blog! I absolutely love the fun, sassy and sexy images! I would keel over out of my chair if I were to be picked! LOL! It did say to post 2 pics, but it's a hard decision...sassier or sweeter? I've added 2 of each, but know I really CAN follow directions! :O)
I got this fab award from Kellie, the Tickled Pink Waffler herself! I'm so flattered that she thought of me!
By accepting this award I must complete the following tasks:
1) Thank and link back to the person who awarded me. Kellie Winnell is the bestest new bloggy friend you could ever hope to make! Quite the doll and I love our little gossip sessions! Thank you SO MUCH, Kellie, my favey redheaded Aussie!
2) Share 8 things about myself.
I am a Diet Coke addict. Coffee? EWWWWWWWWWW!
I love tattoos...if you don't like them, don't look!
I 'm a natural redhead.
I gotta have my music!
I have an obsession with tweezers...that's all I'm going to say.
I love Halloween! It's my fave holiday of all!
I have a phobia of snakes! It doesn't matter if they're babies and non-poisonous or not...you wanna see a chubby girl run REALLY fast? *shudder*

Recipe Swap at Simply Betty Stamps!
Good morning everyone! This week at Simply Betty Stamps we will not be having our weekly challenge due to the Holiday. We'll be having a new release on Wednesday and Friday is the beginning of the 12 Days of Christmas! Are you excited? We sure are! However, today we have a little something special...no prizes, no judging, just a fun little swap... a Recipe Swap! Hop around to some of our DT gals blogs that are listed on the SBC blog and grab yourself a yummy recipe for the Holidays! Share your own to our inLinkz on the challenge blog! We would love to gather as many recipes as possible...just for fun and sharing!
If you came by way of NICOLE'S fabby blog, you haven't missed a beat! If not, hop back over to the Simply Betty Challenges blog to start out!
Mountain Dew Apple Dumplings
My boys (this includes my hubby, son and Dad) always ask for these for any occasion! They are a hit!
*Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2 cans crescent rolls...I used Pillsbury 8 count cans in original flava.
2 small to medium apples...more on the medium side.
2 sticks butter...I don't skimp. (The original recipe says you can use margarine, but what's the point anyway? I shouldn't be making these for the holidays what with being on a diet, but don't think I'm passing it up!)
2 cups sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon...I use double this amount.
1 can Mountain Dew
*Core and slice apples into 8 pieces (I removed the skins as well).
*Wrap each in a crescent triangle. I basically just tried my best to get every inch of the apple covered by the dough.
*Line them up in 2 rows in the center of a 9x13 inch pan.
*Melt butter, cinnamon, and sugar together. I just nuked the butter and then stirred in the sugar and cinnamon until it had a pretty smooth, pourable consistency.
*Pour the butter mixture directly on top of the apples...use it all!
*Pour the Dew around the perimeter of the pan.
*Bake for 45 minutes.
*Eat warm with a scoop, or 3, of vanilla ice cream. YUMMY!
Easy Peanut Brittle
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup white corn syrup
1 cup roasted salted peanuts (I use dry roasted.)
1 Tbs. butter
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
*Stir sugar and corn syrup together.
*Microwave on high for 4 minutes...the bowl (and the mixture) will be HOT! Be careful!
*Stir in peanuts and microwave on high another 3-5 minutes (I only do 2 minutes here) or until lightly brown.
*Add butter and vanilla and mix well. This smells SO good!
*Microwave on high for 1 additional minute.
*Add baking soda and stir until light and foamy.
*Immediately pour onto a buttered cookie sheet.
>>>If you like your peanut brittle with a lighter texture with lots of air in it, DO NOT shake the cookie sheet to move the mixture around!<<<
*After it's hardened (usually about 10 minutes), break into pieces and store in an airtight container.
Now hop on over to MEREDITH'S blog to see what kind of goodies she's got a recipe for! :O)

Anita Be Stampin Blog Hop Gets Unscripted!
Welcome to the Anita Be Stampin Winter Digi Release and Blog Hop!
All of the new digi images are available NOW at Anita Be Stampin, and we are celebrating by having a blog hop filled with inspiration. Be sure to visit all of the stops on the blog hop today and leave a comment, because one lucky winner who comments on EVERY blog along the way will win the entire digi release! Woohoo!
The first image I used for you today is called Aspen. She's so sweet all bundled up in her fluffy coat. I decided to make a digital layout with her. The photos are from my front door last December. One minute there was absolutely NO precipitation...then we had a bit of rain and about an hour later this is what I see! See the icicle hanging from the Christmas lights in the little photo? You gotta love the weather in Kansas City!
The next image I used is called Sasha. So carefree! I love this image! I paper pieced her hat and scarf with some snowflake paper. I made the flower using some nesties and added snowflakes all around. Those of you who come by often will know that I have a thing for snowflakes and snowmen! :O) The stamped sentiment is by PTI.
The last card I have for you today uses Angeline. How beautiful is she? This card combines my ABS post with my Unscripted Sketches post. I followed sketch #82 for today's US challenge...be sure to head over and check out what the other girls did! On this one I tried my hand at watercoloring with distress inks. Obviously I need some more practice, though I do think it's ok. I went a little Stickle crazy and put it on just about everything...I do love my bling, you know! The sentiment is one that I made in Photoshop...love it!
That's it for me! I hope that you liked my projects and I thank you for stopping by. Now it's time to hop on to the lovely and talented Rachel's Blog!
Remember to leave a comment on every blog on the hop today for your chance to win all of the ABS digi images released today. Here is the list of all of the stops on the hop today, just in case you get lost along the way.

It's a Simply Betty Kind of Day...
Good morning, all my crafty cupcakes! TGIF! Woohoo! Can you believe that Thanksgiving is next week? Already? Wow...I am not EVEN close to being ready for it, but I can't wait! :O)
So today is a Simply Betty kind of day. That's right...a new challenge starts TODAY! Our last one wasn't a huge hit for some reason, but we're hoping to reel you all in with this one! Use any rubber stamp with your SBS digital image! I have to say that for some reason this was HARD...seriously hard! I'm totally embarrassed to say that this card took me all day. I have no idea what the problem was. Definitely didn't flow, that's for sure! I even used a sketch (and for some reson I have no idea where I got it from either!)...some days, I swear! It did take a while to get Becky (from the Punky Teens Christmas line) printed to the right size. I used the little tree stump rubber stamp from CC Designs. Becky's hoodie is paper pieced, as well as part of her hat. This image makes me laugh. Put some chocolate in place of the candy candy and this is totally me! Hiding out wherever I can. My original idea was to use a sentiment that said something like "Take time for yourself this holiday season," but I couldn't get it to fit and look good. I added some Liquid Applique with glitter for the snow and a small pom pom for the ball on her hat. After about six hours (no, I'm not kidding) I was totally done dealing with it! I hope you like it better than I do! :O)
Don't forget to check out the awesomeness that is the Simply Betty Design Team! They never disappoint! :O) Links for them are also on my sidebar!
P.S. If you know what blog this lovely sketch came from, please let me know!

Eat More Beef!
Good afternoon everyone! Another Sunday has wound it's way around to us again. It sure seems like the days are going by faster and faster this year!
Today starts us off with another challenge over at Doodle Dragon Studios Challenge Blog! The new challenge (that continues for 2 weeks) is all about Thanksgiving! Use any DDS image and give thanks! Link up your creation over on the challenge blog and you could be our next winner! :O)
I used one of the cute turkeys and added the sentiment to his sign, as it comes blank. I used the current sketch over at Mercy's. She always has the best stitching on her cards, so I got the bright idea that's what I was going to do too. BAD idea! I cannot sew for anything...look at it! Yikes! I'm not sure how everyone keeps the stitches all nice and even. Just color me jealous! Anywho...I used Copics, DP by Basic Grey, Bazzill card stock, Janome sew mini, button, ribbon & twine from stash.
I'd like to take a second to welcome Ted to the DT...so glad you're part of the team! Jump over and visit him today! Come on over and join us for the DDS challenge!

Simply Betty Challenges #6...
Good morning, crafty bleeps! Happy Friday! Woohoo! TGIF! Yepper, Friday is here, so that means another challenge over at the Simply Betty Challenges blog! This week's challenge is to make Thanksgiving place cards.
I made mine using one of the new Steampunk Gang digis called Gwendolyn. Be sure to head over to the Simply Betty Stamps Shop and pick up some fun and quirky stamps for yourself! :O) I made the tag by printing her out at 50% opacity with the name plopped on top (at 100%) with a drop shadow. I was going to leave it uncolored so the name on the place card really showed up, but that didn't suit me. I didn't attack it with the same amount of color I usually do, but it's better with the color...believe me! I sponged a bit of ink around the edges, matted it, punched the whole and tied it to the super cute pumpkin. I got the directions for the pumpkin on The Pink Elephant. I sure hope you like it! {Sorry for the terrible photos! I could not for the life of me get a decent picture, but I got lots of crappy ones!}
Be sure to check out the amazing talent of the other members on the DT! Their links are on my sidebar or you can see them all over at the SBC blog! Have a great day!

Magic
Hello all! A super quick post for you today. I made another layout, this time of my totally adorable Great Nephew, Conan, on the day he was born.
I used the digital image called Button Bear (on the second page) from Wink Wink Ink...see how versatile it is? :O)
Don't forget to pop on over to the Wink Wink Ink Blog and say hi to Melanie...while you're there you can pick up a sweet treat too!
