Good morning, early birds! Happy Hump Day! It's time for another Showcase Showdown at The Digi Shack.
I needed a sympathy card for a friend who just lost her brother...she lives overseas, so I needed it to be relatively flat. I used one of the pretty labels... they are actually a plain white background and come in a set of 6 with different sentiments.
I played with mine in Photoshop a little. After I added the background I couldn't find the paper I thought I had to match it, so I quickly ran over and made some up. :O) All done with the boo boos? Nope! I was coloring in between the 2 black lines (with black) and the dog barked and tried to scare the bejeezus right outta me. Well, you know what happened. Outside the line I went...or inside. I was NOT a happy camper! I brought it over to my trusty CB and used the label die in the same shape and CAREFULLY gave it a bit of a black edge. OOPS! It still looks good though. I'm rather happy with it anyway. I used Photoshop, nesties, CB, American Crafts ribbon, button and card stock from stash, Fiskars border punch. I also followed the sketch at Taylored Expressions. :O)

Good morning, crafty friends! Another Wednesday is upon us already! Time is whipping right by this year. This time next Wednesday I'll be THIRTY-THREE! Yes, I just willingly told my age...I don't care! :O) Woohoo!
It's time for another round of the Showcase Showdown at The Digi Shack! Today I made a thank you card with one of our $1 images from the cosmetic release. How cute is this? I added some subtle glitter to the hair dryer with my Spica glitter marker. The DP is Basic Grey, card stock from stash, Copics, bling from Michael's.
Check out the other talented designers and see what they have in store for you too! Their links are on my sidebar! :O)

Seriously...What?
Good morning bleeps! It's time for another Showcase Showdown at The Digi Shack. Today I used one of Brian Lock's fabu images and made him all about Halloween. Not typical, but everyone at my house got a belly laugh out of it. I really thought I was using a current Sweet Sunday Sketch, after all, I just saw it this past weekend and saved it. Come to find out it's one of the first sketches...posted back in May! LOL! Oh well!
Have a great day!

I'm Going Batty!
Good morning, bleeps! It's true...I AM going batty! I am totally swamped with DT stuff, football games and now my dear son getting in trouble at school! UGH! Dare I say I am the mother of a teenager...now I know it to be true! He talking to one of his friends during his Mass Media class yesterday - during a test - and he got a ZERO! This is after last week's lunch incident where he got a detention. I had to ground him and I feel bad about it, but he has to learn some way, right? He never gets in trouble either, so this has been something else I never had to deal with. GRRRRR! Teenagers!
So today it's time for another Showcase Showdown at The Digi Shack. Toni has been totally swamped too, so you should be getting last week's AND this week's showdown on the blog today! Double the fun! Woot! Today I used the cutest bat image from Brian Lock (Brian also plays with clay...check out my blog candy post HERE to see one of his adorable clay figures...it could be yours). I used some DP from My Mind's Eye, nesties, Copics, card stock from stash, CTMH black ink, Inkadinkado spider images, ribbon from Wal-Mart.
Here is a shot with the card closed.
And one opened...
And a closeup of the googly-eyed bat suspended in front of the hole.
Check out what the rest of the team has done for you today...links are on my sidebar!

Witch Way For Treats?...Edited!
This way, of course!!! Welcome to another edition of the Showcase Showdown at The Digi Shack! Today's project features another Halloween image. Simple and easy to use...this witches hat and broom can be used on many projects. I colored them with my Copics, cut them out and popped them up for dimension on my candy bar slider. I also added a bit of Sakura Stardust pen to the hat's buckle and the wire on the broom...just a hint of sparkle. The sentiment is from an Inkadinkado set and the paper is from Making Memories. Ribbon is probably Offray, but it was in my stash so I'm not 100% sure.
I did make a tutorial for this once...if you would like for me to post it, please just leave a comment and let me know. :O) Be sure to check out the rest of the DT's creations...links are on the sidebar! Have a sweet day!
ETA Tutorial!
1) Take a piece of 6x6 cardstock and score at ½” and 3 ¼”. Fold and crease well along these score lines.
2) Add ½” Sticky Tape to the entire length of the ½” strip and the center section at one end as pictured.
3) Fold the cardstock up and punch a hole in the center of the top end (NOT the taped end) using a regular sized hole punch.
4) Open back up and peel off the tape backing and adhere. Burnish well to ensure strong adhesion.
5) On the closed end, score 2 lines to create a decorative edge.
6) Decorate the front of your cover any way you like.
7) Using approximately 24” of ribbon, thread one end through both holes you previously punched.
8) Take your chocolate bar and insert it into the holder pushing the ribbon down with it. Make sure that your ribbon goes in evenly on the front and back.
9) Tie your ribbon and cut off any excess.
10) By grabbing the end of the chocolate bar (or the wrapper), you can now slide it in and out freely. Congratulations! Your chocolate bar slider is now ready to give to someone special!

Toil & Trouble...
Good morning, my sweets! Wednesday again...we're officially half way through the month. I have no idea where the time goes! It feels like just yesterday my little Great Nephew was born and we just went to his 1st birthday party over the weekend! He is such a ham too...here's a picture of the little cutie!
Now on to what the post is really for! It's time for the Showcase Showdown at The Digi Shack! Last week we released some new images and I'm continuing with them this week. I used the cauldron with the most appropriate saying to go along. I added some lime green stickles to the brew and popped up one of the images for dimension.
Good stuff, huh? Are you ready for Halloween yet? :O) Be sure to check out the rest of the DT's blogs too...links are on my sidebar!
