White Hot Flutters...

Good morning everyone!  Happy Monday!  All is quiet this morning, so I decided to post a card I worked on over the weekend.  It incorporates a couple of challenges even!

My dear friend, Holley, stamped me some Sweet Pea images and now I have had the pleasure of coloring one.  THANK YOU!  I am entering this card into the Oh, Alice: Chapter 25 challenge which was to make an all white card with the exception of your main image panel.  I thought it a bit tricky, but I had to try it!  This is also for Flutter By Wednesday #116...use a flutter and your favorite color.  Two of my favorite colors are on here...orange and a wee bit of green too.  :O)

Bye Bye Flutter By!

***This is my 2nd post today...please scroll down for Sketchbook Wednesday by The Digi Shack!***

Good morning again everyone and Happy Hump Day!  It's time for Flutter By Wednesday...a sad one for me, but it was time to give the other ladies their time on the team.  Today is my last post as a Design Team member for Flutter By Wednesday.  I've been along for the ride watching this challenge grow week by week for over a year now.  Danni has been the best leader and working with all the girls has been a real joy.  Thank you all for your awesome comments and your friendships.  I do hope that you'll continue to come by to see me.

Okay, now on to my card.  This week is an open week, so all you need to do is use a butterfly, fairy or angel on your creation.  I used this awesome glitter paper from BoBunny, Martha Stewart punch and the sketch over at 2 Sketches 4 You.

Be sure to check out the rest of the creations by the design team...links on my sidebar.  Stop by the Flutter By Wednesday blog to see the beautiful new look too!  :O)

I used another CC Designs image...well, 2 images, actually.  BOTH had flowers...along with flower DP and the paper roses too!  :O)

***This is my second post...if you were looking for the awesome sketch post for The Digi Shack, please scroll down!***

Here I am again!  Happy Hump Day my crafty friends!  It's time for another Flutter By Wednesday!  Your challenge this week is to use paper piecing {along with a butterfly, fairy or angel} on your creation.  I love this technique!  I paper pieced her outfit and I stamped an extra head and popped it up for added dimension.  I used a stamp from CC Designs and lots of Basic Grey papers...along with the Mojo Monday sketch.  I'm happy with the way this one turned out.  :O)  I am also entering this into the Beary Scrap Challenge...May Flowers.

Be sure to visit all of my talented DT sisters to see what they made too.  :O)  Links are on my sidebar!

A Fluttery Sketch...

Good morning everyone!  It's time for 2 of my favorite challenges!  The Digi Shack's Sketchbook Wednesday and Flutter By Wednesday.  These two went hand in hand this week!  Toni's simple and beautiful sketch was perfect for the challenge at FBW...Clean and simple with butterflies!

I used this gorgeous butterfly digital image from The Digi Shack and colored it with monochromatic colors to add to the simplicity of my design.  I love this quote and thought I'd add it to my card this week.  I am very happy with it as a whole!  :O)

I hope you enjoyed my card this week!  Please visit all of my design team sistahs and show them some love as well!  The Digi Shack & Flutter By Wednesday DT's are on my sidebar!  Join us in both challenges this week...we would love to see what you create!  :O)

Flutter By #106

So sorry I'm late again!  I swaer, today has been the day for lateness!  GRRR!  It's time for another Flutter By Wednesday.  This week we have a sketch from Mercy Kerrin!  Use it for inspiration along with your butterfly, fairy or angel!

I used a photo printed on cardstock this week.  A friend of mine took this photo of a painted lady butterfly...so I thought this sentiment was appropriate.  :O)

Check out the rest of the DT's creations and show them some love!  Have a great day!

Sketches, Butterflies and Coloring, Oh My!!!

Good morning everyone and Happy Hump Day!  I have a combined post for you today...The Digi Shack's Sketchbook Wednesday and Flutter By Wednesday all rolled into one!

I have been dying to use this chair image from The Digi Shack.  Since Flutter By Wednesday is an open challenge (just use a butterfly, fairy or angel), I thought it was the perfect combination.  I imagined Spring and the butterfly sitting on the arm of the chair seemed a great choice.  Use the following sketch and join us at The Digi Shack...add a butterfly and join us at Flutter By Wednesday as well!  :O)

Check out my teamies from The Digi Shack AND Flutter By Wednesday...they are sure to have awesome creations for you!  Links are in my sidebar!  :O)

Miss You, Flutterby...

Good morning, crafty people and Happy Hump Day!  It's Wednesday and that means several posts for today!  First up is Flutter By Wednesday #102.  This week's challenge is an open one...all you have to do to play along is use a butterfly, fairy or angel on your project.  Simple!!!  I also entered this into the current Oh, Alice! Challenge...use a butterfly or caterpillar.

I made another layout for you today.  This is of my best friend, Thom, who passed away in February of last year from Lymphoma.  I miss him so much!  :O(  I thought butterflies were appropriate to symbolize his passing.  See those letters?  There are little tiny butterflies adorning them too.  I love you, Thom!

Be sure to check out my awesome teamies, including Brandi, our newest full time FBW DT sistah!  Welcome aboard, lovey!  Links are in my sidebar!  ;O)  Check back in a bit for The Digi Shack's Wacky Wednesday Challenge and Inktegrity's Sketch Challenge!  (I told you I was busy today!)

Our challenge for this week is to use green and/or shamrocks along with a butterfly, fairy or angel!  Are YOU feeling lucky???

I made a digital layout to share with you today.  I love St. Patty's Day!  :oD

I'll leave you with one of my favorite Irish Blessings...

Wishing you a rainbow
For sunlight after showers—
Miles and miles of Irish smiles
For golden happy hours—
Shamrocks at your doorway
For luck and laughter too,
And a host of friends that never ends
Each day your whole life through!

Flutter By Wednesday #100!!!

Happy Hump Day all my fluttering friends!  Welcome to another installment of Flutter By Wednesday!  Today is Danni's ONE HUNDREDTH challenge!  Can you believe it??  Today is an open week, so all you need to do is use a butterfly, fairy or angel in your creation!  Let's get to fluttering!

I want to take a second and say that Danni is awesome to create for!  Definitely one of the sweetest women I have had the pleasure of getting to know through blogland!  Thank you Danni for your continued support and awesome inspiration!  Love you lady!

Since this was FBW's 100th challenge, the DT wanted to congratulate Danni on all her success by using butterflies, the original concept of the challenge, for our creations.  Our lovely teamie, Karen, found this adorable butterfly "bag" for us to try out.  I made a card to go with mine since I'm underwhelmed by my bag.  Harriet, another of my uber talented DT sisters, always created wonderfully simple cards with beautiful use of white space.  I was inspired to try my hand at it and this is what came of it.

Be sure to visit the rest of the design team to see what wonderful things they came up with!  Links are on my side bar!  :O)

Flutter By Wednesday #99

Hey everyone and Happy Hump Day!  I can't believe we're back to another Wednesday already, but another week means we're closer to Spring, right?  :O)

Today's Flutter By Wednesday is an inspiration challenge.  Just use a butterfly, fairy or angel and the following photo for inspiration!  Link up on the FBW post to show us what you came up with!  :O)

I used a couple of Doodle Dragon Studios images that will be released this Thursday!  I used the rose and one of Dustin's adorable fairy bears.  The photo inspired me to use a fairy, of course.  I also chose my DP (which got mostly covered up) because it had purple, green and pink in it.  :O)

I hope you enjoyed my card this week.  Be sure to visit the rest of the very talented DT and leave them some love...the links are on my sidebar.

I hope you enjoy my card this week! Be sure to check out the rest of the design team's creations! Ann, Cassie, Chris, Christine, Danni, Harriet, Heather, Jodi, Karen, Kimberly, Kris, Kristie, Michelle, Nancy, Nicola & Pam.

Flutter By Wednesday #96

Good morning everyone!  I am feeling better today, thank goodness!  I was having a bit of coloring withdrawal!  :O)  It's Wednesday and time for Flutter By Wednesday #96!  This week's challenge is to create something with a love theme, however you perceive it.  You MUST use a butterfly, fairy or angel!

I used a CC Designs digi image...Nurse Nora.  It was supposed to say I'm the Love Doctor, but this is how she ended up.  I figure you have to love someone to want to take care of them, so...

If you'd like to play along, we;d love to have you!  It's an open week, so just use a butterfly, fairy or angel on your project.

Thanks so much for chasing the butterflies last week!  Please e-mail me your address and I will get your candy out to you!

This week's challenge is to use any type of embossing on your card along with a butterfly, fairy or angel!  Add a direct link in Mr. Linky on the FBW post so we can see what you created!  :O)  I stamped baby butterflies on the green part of the paper and embossed them...The label nestie is also embossed, but you can't see it very well in the photo.  The paper is all one sheet folded up {like I used to do in middle / high school} to create the 2 pockets.

I hope you enjoy my card this week! Be sure to check out the rest of the design team's creations and show them some love! Ann, Cassie, Chris, Christine, Danni, Harriet, Heather, Jodi, Karen, Kimberly, Kris, Kristie, Michelle, Nancy, Nicola & Pam.
